ellipsis social ventures is led by Anand Vimalassery who has worked with policymakers for nearly two decades to create a more equitable labor market and country. His career advancing economic and social justice began in public schools, afterschool programs, and one stop career centers in Trenton, NJ and Baltimore, MD. After a stint promoting best practices in workforce development at the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration, he served as the policy director of the National Job Corps Association, which represents the students and staff of the largest national service provider to opportunity youth. He regularly serves as a subject matter expert in workforce development helping to inform federal legislation and regulations and has organized advocacy resulting in over $500 million in additional federal funding to connect opportunity youth with education and employment.

Ellipsis works closely with federal and state agencies, universities, unions, and employers to advance research and policy goals related to equity, including: the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Harvard University, Princeton University, Jobs for the Future, Penn Foster, the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Next Generation Sector Partnerships, 1199C Training Fund, UAW, TCU/IAM, and others.
